1) You are looking to have a one-night stand.

If sex is all you want, she'll be able to tell.  And why the hell would she bother going out again if all you're interested in is screwing her brains out?

2) All you talk about is sex even if you are not looking to have a one-night stand.

This is both insulting and disrespectful. This is supposed to be your opportunity to get to know her. If sex is the only topic of discussion, she'll know exactly what you want.  See sign #1. 

3) You bring up your ex-girlfriend, your mother or the last girl you went on a date with.

Again, this is insulting and disrespectful. You'll only end up embarrassing yourself and/or looking like a mama's boy womanizer. The night should be all about her. 

4) You try to buy her love.

Showering her with flowers and jewelry, and treating her to a five-star restaurant is nice, but it might be a little much for a first date.  What are you trying to prove?  Besides, once you start spending like that, you can't stop.  Do you want to make her fall in love with you or your wallet?  Once the money runs out, she probably will too. 

5) You get too touchy-feely.

After giving her a polite handshake, keep your hands to yourself. Don't assume she's attracted to you. Even if she is, she may not be comfortable with physical affection, especially so early on in the relationship.  AGAIN, see sign #1.

6) You call her too often after the first date.

The media are always depicting girls as desperate, waiting by the phone for her date to call.  Heads up, guys:  The old wives' tale that she's crying to her girlfriends, wondering why you haven’t called is BULLSH*T. In real life, girls want and need their space just as much as guys do. Back off and she may see your potential.
