Animal Activists Fume At Loyola Lab Atrocities

A routine inspection by the U.S Department of Agriculture found the Loyola University's medical lab in violation of the federal Animal Welfare Act. The improper procedures of the lab led to the death of dogs and rabbits being used for experimentation.

Stop Animal Exploitation NOW, an Ohio-based animal activism group, collected data containing evidence supporting the findings of the U.S. Agriculture department and shooting the lab to the top of the list for "The Worst Lab in Illinois." On top of this outrage, the USDA did not even give the lab a slap on the wrist. The school received no fines or discipline.

Most reports are saying that the school has cleaned up its act, but who's to say that it will not be in violation again.

Animal activists are calling for something a little more severe than the "monitoring" of the labs over the next couple of months.
