U-M Will Have a Lot To Think About This Yom Kippur
At this point, anything's possible.

However liberal Umich may be, one thing can be taken for granted: official university policy will favor Israel. Which makes U-M Press's decision to go ahead with distributing "Overcoming Zionism" after a month's delay about as surprising as the football team's complete ineptitude. That is, it's pretty damn shocking.

The book rants and rails against Israel and its government's "state-sponsored racism." U-M Press has an agreement with the publisher to distribute their books, so refusing on this one would have meant bad things, legally. But this is like distributing The Satanic Verses outside mosques in Pakistan.

Good news is, maybe we'll get to see If I Did It next.
