Attack of the iClones

Attack of the iClones

It was only a matter of time before the bootleg iPhone happened.

The newest iPhone knock-off is the CECT i9.  This iClone looks exactly like the iPhone, and actually has some features that make it more attractive than the real thing.

The i9s are distributed from China (no surprise) and as a result, they all come unlocked, which means that they are not limited to a specific network.  Any service provider that uses a SIM Card is compatible, so if you're going abroad or using T-Mobile, the phone will be compatible.  No more jailbreaking.

The other feature that makes this little dandy so attractive is the price.  You can find the i9 on eBay for roughly $125 bucks and if you really put in the work, you might be able to get one a bit cheaper.

The one downside is the storage capacity.  The phone does not use internal storage, but instead has a slot for a micro SD card with a maximum capacity of 2GB versus the iPhone's 8GB and 16GB models.

Based on customer reviews on eBay, the i9 seems to be satisfactory to all reviewing customers.

I'm waiting for the Blueberry Storm
