It’s quite rare for women to witness male creativity at its finest (outside of the bedroom, of course). The few occasions in which it is displayed includes the marriage proposal, the going on a long term separation gift that says “don’t sleep with anyone during your semester in Barcelona”, and of course, asking to the senior prom. 

Thirteen members of the Ann Arbor Huron High School lacrosse team were suspended for their roles in a teammate’s prom proposal. They wrote across their butts “Will you go to the prom with me? Yes or No?” For good measure the girl being asked gave a little tap to the guy with “yes” printed on his cheeks. The school suspended the bare-bottomed group for one day of school and indefinitely from the lacrosse team in addition to 20 hours of community service.

That’s a pretty harsh penalty for doing something that’s allowed on national television (I never understood why a guy’s ass is permissible but a girl’s isn’t, does the comedy of a hairy ass supersede nudity rules?). This could have been a great story of camaraderie about thirteen guys who took the hit in an effort to get one of their teammates some ass. Instead it got twisted into a story of rebellious high schoolers with only a few weeks left getting in their last pranks. 

I guess when Michigan undergrads are finished with the semester the only newsworthy material left in Ann Arbor takes place in high school. Shouldn't we be figuring out what to do about gas prices?
