Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, collectively known as Brangelina, are no strangers to adoption. In fact, they appear to be singlehandedly pioneering the trend of celebrity adoptions in Hollywood with their “Gotta Catch ‘Em All” mentality.
For Max Lanman ‘10, this adoption trend, especially to the Brangelina degree where it entails importing children from abroad, is absurd, yet mildly entertaining.
And so, inspired by a “People” magazine article, Lanman wrote, produced and directed an R’nB tribute video in honor of every adoption-crazy celebrity in the world.
Of course, this isn’t the first time a Yalie used music to convey his/her idea to the general populace. Two weeks ago, Alexander Dominitz released his “95 Theses,” a parody on Jay-Z’s “99 Problems that retells the story of Martin Luther and the Reformation.
Lanman, however, hopes that the much more relatable nature of his video will allow it to spread virally on YouTube and become an Internet phenomenon.
