Registration sucks. Every year you tell yourself that since you have more credits, your schedule is going to work out as planned. But no, by the time your registration appointment comes half of your classes have closed and you’re forced into some random class with a sad blue face professor from Ratemyprofessors.com.
Why is backpacking even necessary? Everyone backpacks amazing schedules where they have no Friday classes and start after 11 every day, only to have their hopes miserably shat on. I used to think it was just because I didn’t have a ton of AP credits going into freshman year, but I realized that it’s a problem for almost everyone.
This led me to wonder about who is actually benefiting in the registration process. Is it 5th year seniors? Varsity Athletes? Those random 45 year olds from discussion? I have no idea. I’m complaining as an in-state student. If I was paying out-of-state dollars and was forced into taking Psych111 with Malley or Stats350 with Venable, well, I’d feel ripped off. I’m not sure how other schools run their system, but if everyone is suffering then
