Breaking News: Shooting at FAU
Police are distributing photos of a “person of interest” who they want to question in connection with the shooting incident.
From the South Florida Sun-Sentinel:

BOCA RATON — The main campus of Florida Atlantic University was placed on lockdown early today and classes were canceled after someone fired shots at an on-campus student party, slightly injuring one person.

Police said that the shooting happened at about 1 a.m. when a fight broke out at the University Village Apartments.

One person who was not a student was grazed by a bullet and suffered a minor injury, campus Deputy Police Chief Keith Totten said

"There was a party going on in the room and one person did sustain a minor injury that did not require [hospital] transportation," Totten said.

The party was not sponsored by the school, officials said.

The campus remained on lockdown while FAU and Boca Raton police searched door to door for the person who fired the shots. About 2,400 students who live on campus were ordered to remain in their apartments.
