Britney Spears Apparently Now a Legitimate Case Study

Britney Spears Apparently Now a Legitimate Case Study
I had to post a glory days photo because pictures of 2007 Britney Spears literally make my eyes burst into flames.

In two classes in a row today, I talked about Britney Spears. Two classes, in a row. I guess her VMA perfomance must've been the final straw that's made everyone including college professors feel obligated to open up on her. These sentences were written on the board in my english class when I walked in:

"Britney Spears in an omnipresent superstar."
"Britney Spears is a horrible role model for young mothers."
"Britney Spears should be shipped to Antarctica."

We were supposed to be figuring out the different types of claims (factual, moral, policy) each statement was making. Instead we spent the whole hour making fun of how she has almost killed her children on numerous occasions. Next I went to psych discussion where I walked in and this was on the board:

"Britney Spears is out of her mind."
"Britney Spears has a mental disorder."

This time we were supposed to figure out whether Britney is so messed up because of drugs, alcohol and being a celebrity or if she has some affliction we could actually classify her with. My teacher even had a powerpoint presentation prepared of her shaving her head, attacking the paparazzi and driving with her kid in the front seat. We spent the remainder of the class watching her VMA perfomance over and over on YouTube and deducing that she was in fact just plain retarded.

Maybe next time we'll talk about Owen Wilson. Ouch! Too soon? Nah, we just actually like him.
