Kevin Porter couldn't help the Wolverines tame the lucky Irish. The question on my mind is whether or not this will cost him the Hobey Baker.  Porter is up against Nathan Gerbe, a junior forward from Boston College and Ryan Jones, a senior forward from Miami. Porter has had an incredible season. He was the leading scorer in the CCHA and gave the young Wolverines critical leadership through their tournament run.
  The good news for Porter is that Ryan Jones is the only player still making an impression on the ice (Boston College is in the NCAA finals).  The fact that  Jones is a junior and has another run at the coveted award will hopefully sway the voters towards Porter who bypassed a trip to the pros  to come back for his final season.
