Cornell's Football Team: As Good as the New York Giants

During the previous NFL season, the New England Patriots remained undefeated until their bitter loss in Super Bowl. This season, two teams – one in the NFL and one in the Ivy League – are following closely in their footsteps by dominating their respective conferences.

In the NFL, the New York Giants, the team that won the Super Bowl last season and doomed the Patriots to an imperfect 18-1 record, are currently 4-0, making them one of the only undefeated teams in professional football today (the Tennessee Titans being the other). Hopefully, they don’t have a late-season collapse, like their predecessors.

In the Ivy League, the Cornell Big Red is the only undefeated team, thanks to their perfect 3-0 record. This is the first time since 1999 that Cornell has made it this far without losing a single game.

And so, thanks to the transitive property of equality (A=B, B=C, thus A=C), it is now a mathematical fact that the Cornell Big Red are on par with the New York Giants.
