The Michigan Wolverines are now ranked 15th in the RPI (computerized ranking, sort of like the BCS in football). When the polls come out, expect Michigan to crack the top 25 for the first time in, well, I actually have no idea when the last time was, probably not since before the NCAA sanctions. I'll let someone not worrying about finals figure it out.

Wow, I can't believe we didn't crack the top 25. That is some complete bullshit. Posted 12/08/2008 2:21 PMReply

Actually, we were ranked in the top 25 in the 2005-2006 season and would have made the tournament were it not for and end-of-season collapse. And to the poster above, one quality, isolated win, regardless of the RPI, will not vault an unranked team into the rankings. If we keep doing it, we'll be fine. Posted 12/08/2008 6:43 PMReply

^^ Except its not one isolated win. We have two wins over teams that were ranked #4 and our only losses come against quality teams (Duke and Maryland). We deserve to be top 25. Posted 12/08/2008 10:23 PMReply

the idea is you need consecutive, quality wins...usually Posted 12/10/2008 6:44 PMReply
