Before I jump into this topic I’d like to say its bullshit that I didn’t get to vote despite being on the panel. I also think that having that sort of IP blockage is unfair to sororities because the nominees’ 30 best friends are likely in one or two IP units whereas a non-Greek may have best friends in a variety of apartments… just playing devil’s advocate. For the vast majority of you who I’m sure are going to bitch about your girl (or you) not being named OTR’s hottest on campus, you will have another shot next year in my bracket style competition. The other five of you should just enjoy the title for now, and prep for your chance to repeat. Of course props go to JQ for the innovation to get the first one going and working his ass off in the process. I’ll do my best to build upon it and make it bigger, better and harder (translate at your own discretion).

Moving on. Most of you probably saw the work being done in the Diag today. Michigan is shameless enough that it’s trying to attract donations from day-old alumni by cleaning up the area a bit, paving some walkways and chopping some trees down (in a town full of liberal hippies I’m shocked no one has camped out in one by now).  And, as if our Michigan ego couldn’t get any bigger, it seems that the M-blum in the middle of the Diag is getting some serious expansion as well. When walking through I picked up that sixth sense when you feel like someone’s stalking you, except it turned out to be a bleacher. They’re everywhere. You may have also noticed that, despite the good weather, the homeless guys are nowhere to be found. It seems the trees may have some company in the wood-chipper.
