Facebook Empowers Itself to Tell You Who to Be Friends With
Facebook wants us to be together, would you like some candy?

A new addition to facebook that miraculously is not part of a spam sending application has arrived, and the stalkers are coming back from the shadows. The “are your friends already on facebook-people you may know” option does all the stalking for you. If a stalker had any inhibition to friend you before, it’s gone, facebook made them do it.

You click on the page and you see a list of people you probably know. You may have thought about friending them in the past but thought you’d seem creepy because you haven’t spoken to them since 6th grade or were too stubborn and decided to wait and have them be the ones to friend you (because you’re better than them, obviously). But now that facebook wants you to be friends with them you pretty much have to, right?

However, there could be a backlash with the new option. There is a distinct possibility you may come across some individuals on the list that you were pretty sure you had already friended. Wait, does that mean? Yes, they facebook dumped you. So to all of you people out there who have a habit of dumping others, be prepared. Stink-eyes are going to come at you from all angles. The messages behind them will say stuff like “we were best friends in High School, I’m sorry you’re too cool to talk to me now” or “if you didn’t want to be my facebook friend you should have just rejected the request in the first place”. Well, it’s a good thing you didn’t like them anyway.
