After watching Buffalo Bill, from Silence of the Lambs, prance around naked in human skin, I realized that everyone has a little bit of a nuts side. How does Ann Arbor celebrate the insane beings within all of us? Sunday, April 6th, Festifools, a parade thrown in order to reveal our inner craziness, stormed up and down main street. The parade consisted of many giant puppets of various subject matter such as, killer stuffed animals, evil trees, transgendered vikings, and many more. Basically, the parade was everything I have ever had a nightmare about. Watching these demonic figures glide down main street was extremely traumatizing. About half of the puppets were constructed by freshman students from the Michigan School of Art and Design. And yes, that is a giant puppet of Jesus...
