While Affirmative Action has been discussed on this site before, a new study has given hope to the bitter White kids who were deferred in favor of ethnic minorities. According to the study, if population rates stay the same, then in the year 2050 Whites will no longer be a majority. While this projection disregards a potential change in immigration policy or the occurrence of an ethnic cleansing (let’s hope not), the fact remains that in the years to come, Whites will not be a majority in the United States.

As Whites are included as one of the minorities, the playing field all of a sudden becomes equal. On top of that, with the way mixed marriages are going, students will be checking four different boxes in the race/ethnicity section of standardized tests. No one is going to want to keep track of that. In addition, everyone in the future will have AIDS, or be cured from AIDS. This of course assumes that we all live past the Mayan Doomsday in a couple of years (December 12, 2012?).

On a final note, if scholarships are still aimed to aid those who have to work harder to achieve something, shouldn’t White athletes get special consideration? And no, Hockey doesn’t count.
