How Not To Fall For Stupid Scams

How Not To Fall For Stupid Scams
Uncle Sam wants your money too. Unless you're rich, in which case he doesn't want too much.

College kids are probably the number three demographic in the “please scam us” sweepstakes after  immigrants who don't speak much English and old people. For whatever reason (there are several) scammers look at college kids and see dollar signs. Kind of like kids with their grandparents. So here are a few tips for avoiding these scams and not losing a lot or even a little money.

1. For the love of God, don't give out personal information like bank account numbers, social security numbers etc. Identify fraud waits around the corner.

2. You should never have to pay to get a job. In all likelihood, you won't make money and you'll waste a lot of time that could be wasted in better (and possibly cheaper) ways.

3. There isn't actually any beer in his room. Or her room.
