Alright, so it's not official yet, but after LSU's overtime loss this past weekend all signs are pointing toward Les Miles becoming the next head coach of Michigan Football. After about 3 minutes of research, the attempt to learn Les' full first name was inconclusive. It's probably either short for Leslie or Lester, so here's a list of famous people with those names to decide which name we hope he has.

Leslie


Leslie Nielsen- Star of Airplane!, The Naked Gun trilogy, recent Scary Movie films and more. Made Leslie a respectable male name on his own. Still kickin it at over 80 years old.

GERALD FORD- Born Leslie Lynch King, Jr. Michigan Football Alum and former US President. Could you really vote for a president named Leslie? Keep in mind at the time no one would consider voting for a Hillary.

Lester

Lester Abram- 3 time captain of a Michigan basketball team that accomplished nothing more than an NIT championship. Graduated last year.

Les (Lester) Paul- Jazz musician, developed one of the first solid body electric guitars. Had his own NBC radio show in the 50's.


We may never know the true first name of Les Miles. If a few big ten titles and/or national championships  come along with him, then it doesn't really matter. At least his name isn't Urban (Meyer).
