Better this than the basketball team playing against the Pistons
Hope everyone out there is having a great break. I came across a cool little story about the Michigan Baseball team. Apparently Major League Baseball teams schedule games against some of the top college teams during the pre-season. Michigan was invited to play against the New York Mets, whose owner, Fred Wilpon, is a Michigan graduate.
The pre-season #8 ranked Michigan was leading 4-2 with two out and no one on in the bottom of the ninth inning before the Mets rallied and hit a two run homer to tie the game. A win would have made national news, but the tie is pretty impressive as it is.
It's nice to see that Michigan can maintain top teams in some of the more minor college sports (hockey, baseball), especially when the basketball team loses at home to Northwestern (previously 0-14 vs. the Big Ten). The football team is still a question mark, though I have a good feeling about Carlos Brown at QB should it come down to that.
P.S
What the hell ever happened with Terrelle Pryor? Is he still sitting on his ass letting Ohio State and Penn State schools suck his dick? We're better off without that, no one needs a drama queen.
Update:
Apparently Mets Pitcher Billy Wagner nearly decided to bean a Michigan batter because they were playing too hard (laying down a strategic bunt). Despite the fact that Wagner can no longer throw a 100 mph fastball, it's a good thing he decided against nailing our guys with a 94 mph one.
