Michigan Pike House Lost???

Spare some change for a new Polo? Spare change?

I have received word, though have not seen any official documentation, that OTR's favorite Michigan Frat, Pike (Pi Kappa Alpha), has been sent to the curb. I have not received details as to how or why this happened, but it sounds as though that those who were to be in-house brothers this fall will be scrambling to find housing over the next few weeks. If any of you out there know the exact details please feel free to post some comments and I'll update the story as soon as more information is available. There is plenty of irony when the most exclusive house on campus (in terms of parties) can't even hold its own brothers anymore. But in all seriousness this really sucks for those who have very limited options for housing this semester. I'll bet the folks at University Towers are creaming their pants right now.

Update: So it has been confirmed that this was a false alarm as the comments and a few other sources have indicated to me. Pike will be back at their house this year being, well, Pike. My advice is to suck up the Pike Ego and let the Triangle guys come to a few parties and hook up with a few of your groupies (freshmen girls who don't know any better). Maybe then you can avoid a few scares.

Pike has a lease signed for a while, I think another 5 years.

DPhiE's house is owned by Zeta Tau Alpha, they have applied for colonization recently but I'm not sure if they'll be back. The house was originally owned by Phi Psi, which explains the concrete engravings on the pillars.

AEPi's house is owned by AEPhi, they may take it back soon.

SigEp's house is owned by Sigma Chi. They'll probably take it back next school year unless SigEp has a long-term deal already locked in.
