You're still the same person...seriously
By now you have probably all seen, and aren’t even close to being finished b*tching about, the new list (I’ve got my issues with it as well), so I wanted to give a little advice to the incoming Greek class before the bids start going out. Unless you suffer from serious denial and the inability to take a hint, you’ve probably got a good idea of what house or houses (for guys) you’re going to get bids to. For those of you rushing with friends, you may be fortunate enough to all get into the house you wanted, but odds are some of the group will get split up. Please don’t become the tools and b*tches who become too cool for their old friends who didn’t get into a top tier frat or hotter sorority. For the most part, if you’re in the Greek system, you’re still going to the same bars and events as your friends in the other houses.
Now, stay with me, but I’m also going to ask that you don’t become the Greek person who wouldn’t dare associate with GDIs. You can still chill with your boys from home or have a girl’s night with your friends down the hall. Don’t change yourself because you think you’re part of this highly exclusive group. The houses you get bids to pick you because of the way you were before you got accepted. With all that being said, there are a lot of Greek haters for the reasons mentioned above, but if you go into it with the right attitude you’re going to have a great experience without losing your former self or ties.
