Well, our school just can't get enough awards under our belts. Apparently an engineering team won some ubergeek submarine contest for the third consecutive year.

Just when people start thinking we're a school full of brainless jocks and bleach blonde sorority girls, a group of pencil-protecter wearers go and win something like this. Good job guys, way to blow our perfect image.

The SubjuGator 6, weighing in at 53 pounds, beat out 27 other strange robot submarine contraptions by being the only machine able to submerge and retrieve a treasure chest.

I can just picture the competition. A bunch of outcasts, the ones rejected in high school and overlooked on campus, cheering on their creation while high-fiving one another and pushing up their Revenge-of-the-Nerd bifocals.

Though I'm sure they celebrated afterward with cheese, crackers and a bottle of the bubbly (sparkling cider that is), I doubt they had thousands of adoring fans awaiting their return.

Who knows, maybe four's the charm. Keep it up guys- maybe one more win will get you laid.
