Princeton Skateboarders Have Found New Mecca

Aside from the usual bikers and walkers (and scooter-ers) traveling about campus on a regular basis, students occasionally spot skaters. With their hydrogen-peroxided hair, ripped tTshirts and tendency to drop "Excellent!" in precept discussions, they might be confused with regular townies who managed to sneak on campus; but no, they're real Princeton students, and they've just discovered a new place to play.

Whitman's abundance of low walls, winding ramps, and nice flat paved sidewalks are the new hangout spots for anyone who's ever called anything "tubular." Skaters have been showing up as regular as clockwork in Chester courtyard every afternoon around five, displaying impressive grinding, jumping, and the like. If you're short on entertainment, stop by to see the Princeton skateboarding squad in action.
