I love when people submit tips, it makes my job a bazillion times easier. All I have to do then is post it, say something sarcastic, and watch the bitching unfold. Case in point:

I'm in a sorority, and we are all shocked that DPhiE got close to quota....still. A big turnaround, right? and they got some mildly attractive girls too. But then we realized something. One of our new pledges, who went to house tours at DPhiE, was not informed that DPhiE does not have a house next year. The rest of the greek community knows this, and we think it's funny that they got so many girls, probably somewhat based on a lie. ZTA, a sorority, is coming back on campus next year and is taking DPhiE's house from them. DPhi has been well aware of this for many years, and if girls going through rush knew this, why would they join? Looks like their new pledge class they are so proud of is homeless for 2008-2009 and they may not even know it yet. DPhiE is one of the houses where the majority of their girls deactivate eventually and dont stay til senior year. Wonder what this information will do to their numbers.....wonder that pledge class of nearly 50 migh! t drop a little after this info is spread. maybe their girls should be informed OTR style? you can check my facts. Interesting.

So is this true? Who knows. I hear about people losing their houses every other week. As I recall I’ve been hearing about Triangle kicking Pike out of their posh pad for years, and every summer there’s rumors that SigEp is going to have to give their house back to…who was it? Delta Chi? Sigma Chi? Something Chi, I don’t remember. Yet, both are still there.

I will admit that DPhiE got a surprisingly good pledge class this year, which is partly because they have a baller ass house on Washtenaw (love that prime real estate next to Chi Phi) and partly because no one ever read my absurdly over-the-top harsh review of them I wrote way early last year, (I won’t link to it because I almost feel bad about it at this point, it was one of my first ones and I was still...finding my “voice” shall we say). Anyways, the house has improved since then, but this is probably a rumor they should address to their new PC once and for all.

So what about it DPhiE? Is this…

A) True, and we already told our pledge class.
B) True, and we might have left out that little detail during rush.
C) False, and we’re totally rocking the spot for years to come.
D) False, and you dumb SDT bitches are just jealous. (Just a guess).

Send me more tips, I do love them so.

UPDATE: A quasi-official statement from Deeph:

"We have a house for 09-10... ZTA is coming in for 2010-11 and that is when we are giving up the house... people need to not create gossip"

Same thing with AEPhi taking over AEPi's house next year and ATO is coming back this winter looking to move back into their house in fall 2010 (Sigma Pi is in there now). Dphie is looking at the old gamma phi house, which is currently the triangle house. Triangle of course owns the PIKE house, which upon transfer would be demolished and rebuilt because it would actually be cheaper than to repair. As for Sig Ep, they live in the Sigma Chi house (sigma Chi was booted for causing a pledges kidneys to fail). About ten years ago Sig Ep burnt down their house; which is now where Weill hall is, on the corner of State and Hill. So when the pieces fall back into place, i'm assuming AEPi will move back to there old house (near Alpha Sig) and Sig Ep will be homeless - I doubt anyone will cry. Posted 09/30/2008 12:45 PMReply

AEPi got a huge house on geddes next to the old SIG house (currently DTD). the house is an old medical frat that has been shut down for the past 2 years as AEPi puts over a million dollars in renovations into it.

pike toured that same house 3 times and tried to put a bid down on it 20 minutes after AEPi paid million+ cash for it (fact)
