For those wondering why there was reposting and weird stuff going on with the Studio 4 article from last week, I’d like to fill you in on what’s been going on behind the OTR scenes. On Tuesday night, we received four separate reports of the article, which stated the following (in direct quote),

Mike Rose (ulawberry@gmail.com) has reported your post.

“these are very serious comments made about my clients, can you please remove them?” 10:40pm

“Ahor can we set up a meeting? Also can you please remove my clients name Reese from your comment section?
Thank you”

“Can you please remove the last comment, also I would like to set up a meeting with my clients and your paper.

“Me and my firm really think this is getting out of hand, we would like anything to do with race(mostly the comments ) to be please removed from your site. The freedom of speach act is free law, we understand that but slander is illegal.

After begrudgingly disabling the post for the night, I decided to do a little research. The last report provided more than enough reason to believe that this is a bullsh*t lawyer for reasons of spelling, grammar, and not knowing the law, because slander is spoken. In addition, there were no google search results for a Mike Rose being a lawyer or being from Ann Arbor, or being anywhere near as popular as Brittani Kagan. When I looked up the email, “ulawberry”, on google, I came across one thing, the article from the Ann Arbor news talking about Studio 4 losing its liquor license, here was the comment,

it seems to me this establishment is being targeted...records show many other things occuring at differnt liquor license establishments in Ann Arbor...I spent many nites there, and had the best times of my life..its a college bar...lets just shut the whole nightlife of Ann Arbor down...I think its a great place!!”

I have no way of proving this is coming from a Mangray or one of their friends, but regardless, it seems someone was posing as a lawyer (with a Jewish name) and trying to scare OTR into removing our post about Studio 4. The meeting they wanted to set was probably going to be in an alley somewhere. You have all the evidence, you can make your own conclusions. I’ve made mine. And I’ll say once again, Boycott Studio 4.
