Well since everyone has already started posting their own lists via comments, I figured it was time to lay the hammer down on the verdict of the best pledge classes of fall ’08. Thanks to some helpful links to some Facebook groups and pictures, I’ve managed to form a rather surprising ranking order. The top three houses were incredibly hard to call, and overall, this year’s crop is the best I’ve seen yet. But without further ado:

1) Tri Delt

I guess a top ranking on The List comes in handy for recruiting. An exceptionally deep class of girls earns them the #1 ’08 pledge class spot, although to be fair, it was a photo finish between them and Phi. They have they’re typical 60% of blondes, but the quality has pushed them into the top spot from their #2 finish last year. But this begs the question, is The List a self-fulfilling prophecy?

2) Alpha Phi

Yeah, yeah I know, I knocked them off their top spot this year which I’m told caused them not to make quota. But honestly ranking their ’08 PC number two isn’t me trying to make up for that (and no sexual favors were involved either). Objectively, they really just have cuter girls than the other houses. I mean you can say they didn’t make quota, but really, if you cut a few girls from these other houses, I don’t think they’d be any worse off. Honestly, they almost took the number one spot after viewing the composite photos, but the Facebook group pushed Tri Delt over the edge.

3) EK

Warning: New challenger approaching! I need more pictures of this PC, but from what I’ve seen, EK deserves a top three spot. EK has been steadily rising over the past year or so, and it’s not unreasonable to see them in a top three List spot in the future. But seriously, send me more pics of this class pronto and have more than 15 people join your Facebook group. But it needs to be said that the 15 in that group though rival the best from Delt and Phi.

4) Kappa

Eh, I‘m not sure why everyone is raving about the new Kappa class. I mean, yeah, there are some def hot ones, but they lose points for diversity. It’s annoying when these entire houses look the same, and this year’s pledge class lacks some flavor as you can see from the pictures. But is that the red-headed girl from my “Hottest Girl” contest? If so, respect. Also, no one can find your Facebook group so you lose points for accessibility as well.

5) AXO

Questionable at best, but I’ll give it to them over Theta because I can’t find any Theta pledge class pictures. That’s fair right? Yeah, it totally is, don’t question my methods. But seriously, a step down from last year I’d say. I always tried to fight for AXO as underrated, but I’m finding myself caring less about them as time goes on.

Happy? Sad? Angry? I’m sure all of the above depending on your house, so let’s hear how wrong I am as usual.

honestly people, every pledge class has different girls that will appeal to different kinds of guys. c'mon, look at the pictures, not the reputations: none of them are substantially "better" than any of the others. I would hope a guy would never be dumb enough to turn down a good looking girl who is not in what some other random guy considers "the best sorority"...and if so, his loss.

tridelt girls are not really that unattractive, but the trashiness of their pledge class is insane. kappa's hot. they're not all brunette, like jq's pretending, either, but really they don't have ANY girls holding them back. phis got mostly attractive girls with a few ultra hotties and one or two girls who obviously fell through the cracks. ek's over-rated this year. really. a majority of them are uglyyyyy.
