I’m sure you’ve all read by now that Johnny Quest has made his final post. As mentioned in his post, the investigational report appeared in today’s Michigan Daily. Call me old fashioned, but I was under the impression that an investigatory report just might touch on the several month investigation that took place. Astoundingly, the editor-in-chief Karl Stampfl “discovered” that Paul was the blogger, and that’s all of what was mentioned. Looks like someone didn’t want to admit it took him 4 months to find a guy sitting in his own office. Tough luck dumbass, we noticed.

So let’s take a look at the situation here and you’ll see why I hate the daily. You have Johnny Quest writing for OTR, the Daily would like to track who he is, just for the story. They manage to find him after a long investigation (one which your average angry-at-JQ Greek would definitely NOT have taken the time to do). So they find out that, wow, it’s been our film editor all this time (who FYI is just as good at writing in the Daily as he was here). Instead of keeping their mouth shut, they went down the bitch highway and ratted out one of their own. And they did this so that just one more article could get published, an article that frankly added absolutely no information of importance to anyone who knew who Johnny Quest was beforehand.

People would only associate Johnny Quest with the daily if people knew he worked for the Daily. Only the Daily knew that Paul worked for them, but still chose to tell people, forcing him to resign from OTR. Paul claimed he wasn't anti-Greek, he was anti-douche. Well, if the Daily had a douche factor, it would be up there with SAE.

I’d classify the Michigan Daily operators as an unlovable Dwight Schrutes. They are power-hungry and clearly sucking at the Greek system power teat. How else can you explain their choice to reveal our beloved Johnny Quest? So for any of you thinking about writing for the Daily, don’t. Come to OTR and write what you want. The Daily eats babies.
