Though they didn't get into the Big Dance, the Buckeyes settled for a #1 seed in the NIT. Tuesday's matchup pitted OSU against the tallest player in the NCAA, Kenny George. At 7'7", George is 7 inches taller than any Buckeye.
The Buckeyes started slow, but soon picked up the tempo and took George out of the game. Butler, Lighty and Koufos handily beat UNC Asheville, 88-64. Hopefully you watched it at the Schott, because watching it on TV was brutal. The only topic of discussion was the 7'7" monster. They hardly touched the subject of OSU being snubbed from the NCAA Tournament.
Next up for OSU will be the winner of the Cal/New Mexico game.
