Larry Greene, a professor in the Political Science department and lecturer of Polsci 389 (Constitutional Politics, Courts, Politics and Society), stopped showing up to teach his class at the beginning of November. His students were informed that he was in the hospital, and in an interview last night he claimed that he is “severely injured”. This of course is amidst a news report coming out about Greene taking thousands of dollars from clients and not doing the work he was supposed to, as well as cashing in retirement funds—for his dead parents (5 years after their death). Even after the report broadcasted, Greene claimed “I am proud of my affiliation with the University of Michigan”. Lucky us. First the football team, now our academic standards. This is what we get for hiring a lawyer who had already been disbarred twice in the past 10 years.
How is it that a guy can practice law for 40 long years and still have to rip off clients while cashing retirement checks for his deceased parents? I don’t know how much they need to spend on medical expenses when they’re living in a box down by the river. I love how he bolts from his class before the report comes out and is “severely injured” by truth and criticism. I’m upset that the University didn’t remove him upon hearing the report. There’s no place for people like this at U of M. Lock him up with Milano.
