If you can't beat em, join em...
So after some speculation, the rumors have been confirmed. Justin Boren will be on the Ohio State sideline next season, but will have to sit out a year.
Justin Boren was a great guard/center in his time at Michigan and would have been accepted as a transfer to just about anywhere in the country. So why in the hell did he have to choose Ohio State? Boren's dad played for Michigan! I realize he lives right by Columbus, but isn't there some sort of code when it comes to joining an arch-rival? At least when Johnny Damon went to the Yankees from the Red Sox it was AFTER Boston had won the World Series. Boren is joining the team he could never beat.
Here's a few lines from his statement about his decision: “It’s exciting to be coming back home to central Ohio, I am looking forward to the chance to help the Buckeyes continue their excellence in any way I can".
Now for the in between the lines translation: "It's a good thing I can return to Ohio for some home-cooked milk from my mother's teat. Weaning was hard! God knows I don't give a sh*t what my father thinks. I am excited about being on a winning team that won't have any expectations of me to help turn things around. Now I can just sit on my ass and not work through Coach Rodriguez's drills to get me faster or stronger. Plus I get to suck on TP's shlong for the next 3 years. Life is good."

Boren transferred because he couldn't cut the new S&C program. If sweatervest wants to recruit with donuts and large pizzas, more power to him. Posted 04/23/2008 3:10 PMReply
