10 Reasons to Be at the Big House

Making a top ten list for reasons not to go to East Lansing is too easy, but also irrelevant (for this year anyway), so here are the top ten reasons why Michigan and Michigan State fans should come to Ann Arbor this Saturday.

10) The air doesn’t reek of burned La-Z-Boy.

9) It doesn’t take an hour to walk from one side of campus to the other

8) It’s only a matter of weeks before it starts snowing.

7) You haven’t picked a fight with a visiting fan this season and Northwestern would be way too easy.

6) AEPi car bash is on Friday from 11-6 (proceeds go to Ronald McDonald house, arguing against this point means you’re in favor of terminal illnesses)

5) Seeing Michigan State defeat Michigan in the Big House is a once in a 10-15 year opportunity.

4) The 3:30 start allows for 6+ hours of pre-game

3) MSU people feed off of Michigan suffering, a celebration in East Lansing wouldn’t provide the joy a Spartan receives in seeing Michigan tears in person (Should MSU win)

2) Tickets for the Michigan vs. MSU game have been going for FACE VALUE, any other year and it would be at least $150 per ticket.

1) This is the most important game of the season for both teams, quit b*tchin and get your ass out there.

I'm pretty sure that the most important game of the season is the Ohio State game. Michigan couldn't care less about state. its a huge rivalry on their end, like watching a midget try and reach the peanut butter on the top shelf on our end. Posted 10/23/2008 2:46 PMReply

The Ohio State game is in Columbus though, this is the top ten reasons to be at the Big House. Plus the Ohio State game is the last one of the season, a big win against Michigan State could (hopefully) swing some momentum before we go out on the road. The "superiority" of U of M undergrads comes from fact that they're not from Michigan but came to Ann Arbor from the East Coast. Remember the old U of M "you're just a bunch of stupid farmers ..."
