University of Michigan's Best Bets, Part I: Under-Aged Buying

University of Michigan's Best Bets, Part I: Under-Aged Buying

You might be better off getting one with a first and last name though...

News that’s in any way appealing comes rarely from Ann Arbor during Summer Term, so to spare you all from the reaching Ripe Produce stories that get a good deal of complaints, I’m opening up a Michigan OTR edition of The University of Michigan’s Best Bets. The best bets will ask and hopefully answer some questions that incoming freshman may have as they get ready to make their first impressions on campus. There will be a new topic to be voted on every day until I run out of ideas and get desperate like new seasons of Family Guy, running the earlier success into the ground. Get over it.

Post an answer in the comments if you don’t like the options and if others agree, it will be added to the options. If you guys have your own best bet questions you want to see put up feel free to send them in to the tip line and if they don’t suck I may use a few.

Alcohol is the fuel that runs college campuses and is now substantially cheaper than gasoline.  Freshmen who are eager to poetically break free from their overprotective parents in the form of mass consumption on their first night of college need to get their liquor somehow. The first installment of Michigan's Best Bets asks: Where is the best place to get alcohol when you have an obviously fake ID?

Northside Liquor near Bursley. If you have a beard, you don't even need ID. And let's not forget Champs either.

This may be the only interesting post in an entire day. Kudos.

the beard thing is true at Strickland's too. And if you speak Arabic, be nice and he'll let you buy even if you don't have an ID!

how dare anyone smear the good name of the real Joe. Campus Corner is in no way the best. Now stay out of my store. The line is long enough without people thinking Evil Joe or Mongoloid will sell to minors. I still think the kid that works in the back might be 13 though.

I love you Ahor =] I'll be a freshman next year, and it's nice to see something that's actually interesting and potentially useful, as opposed to what "Lauren from UMich" has to say about the Naked Cowboy, Lindsay Lohan, etc. Thanks for not sucking =]

I was carded for the first time ever at Bluefront last week, after having had bought there nearly every weekend of my freshman year without being asked for ID. The old guy that works there doesn't give a ****, the young one will card. Watch out.

Bluefront has to be on this list, even if they don't sell liquor.

I enjoy low expectations which can be thankfully attributed to Paul (JQ). For other comparisons see: Aaron Rodgers, Scottie Pippen, Pre-Super Bowl Eli Manning, and Rufio.
