Where Will Jake Long Get Drafted?

Where Will Jake Long Get Drafted?
Update: Jake Long has signed a 5 year $57.75 million dollar contract with the Miami Dolphins who will select him with the 1st pick. Congrats to Jake for being the first Wolverine to be selected #1 overall in the Draft since 1941 (Tom Harmon for those interested).

Finals are still going on even though a bunch of you are probably back home watching Comcast on-demand movies all day or laying outside if you're someplace warm. My message to you all is... you suck. Anyway, The NFL Draft is taking place this weekend. Despite Michigan losing its entire offense, it seems that Jake Long is the only one going to be selected in the first round. There's not enough quarterback demand for Henne to be selected in round one, Mike Hart ran a slow 40 at the combine, and Mario Manningham is a pothead. Therefore, I'm making this poll about Jake Long in the hopes that his high position will shadow over the potentially embarrassing draft positions of the others. Jake will be drafted:
#1- Miami Dolphins
#2- St. Louis Rams
#3- Atlanta Falcons
#4- Oakland Raiders
#5- Kansas City Chiefs

The NFL draft has become one of the most overrated days in sports whether a player is draft 20th or 200th they will both have the same opportunities to prove themselves. Manningham has potential to become a #2 receiver and Mike Hart has a lot to prove in the NFL but both will get there opportunity wherever they end up. Posted 04/21/2008 3:46 PMReply

Tony Sparano is pretty old-school so they keep the ball on the ground most of the time. Seeing that Long is (arguably) the best rush-block linemen in the draft, he should do well. He's got the size and experience, best of luck to him and the 'Fins. Posted 04/23/2008 11:18 PMReply
