Why Michigan Will Beat Penn State - Part III: The Future

"Steve Holt!"
(If you get that reference you're awesome)

In this final chapter exploring why Michigan will beat Penn State this Saturday, we look to the future. Penn State is good, sporadically. But Michigan is always good, and alway will be, and this weekend our player will be motivated knowing that fact.

After Chad Henne leaves, we have Ryan Mallet, who simply steps over linebackers with his 9'7" frame. He looks much more promising than Henne ever did as a freshman, and will mature into a great player soon enough.

And with Mike Hart's departure, we have the white Reggie Bush coming, Sam McGuffie. It's going to be nice to have a running back that can literally defy the laws of physics. If you don't believe me, check out the above video or his amazing mixtape here. I've heard his superpowers increase exponentially over time. By the end of junior year he should just be able to catch a punt and leap into the endzone.

As for Penn State's future? After their Italian Stallion leaves, (I'm told his name's Anthony Morilli or something), who's replacing him? I don't know, but I know it won't be anyone Ryan Mallet calibur.

And I've refrained ripping on JoePa this whole time because he's awesome, but let's face it, he won't be around forever since when he was born, football was a game where two cavemen kicked skulls at each other until one of them died. Who will replace him? How can you replace him? And when Llyod retires at the end of this season (which he will), we have LSU's coach begging to come over here. So yeah, we're set.

Nice try ha-mace, but I've clearly dominated you in every way. Now we'll let the players do the talking.

Your future rests on a white running back? That's such a shame. Posted 09/21/2007 12:02 PMReply

I saw it. That'll be nice when he falls and breaks his pelvis trying to impress some girls later this season. Posted 09/21/2007 12:08 PMReply

I've seen Sam McGuffie play when I lived in Houston. He wasn't anything specal against a strong High School defense and he's in a weak 5-A division. Posted 09/23/2007 08:36 AMReply
