Fat Albert (De'Andre Thomas) and the Hoosiers added to Michigan's B-ball woes
Michigan came head to head with a freshman superstar, not named Terrelle Pryor, in their basketball game against Indiana. Eric Gordon hit several three pointers well beyond NBA range and the Wolverine basketball squad lost 78-64, making them 4-11 overall. This game was on ESPN and had Lloyd Carr, Rich Rodriguez and Joe Dumars (for the locals) in the stands. We even had the privilege of Brent Musberger commentating, although all he could muster up was that Ann Arbor had a higher temperature than points scored today. Thanks?
It’s a good thing that most students here at Michigan don’t really care about the basketball team because if they did, this would be brutal. Indiana may be a great team, but tonight’s game only builds upon losses that include Central Michigan, Western Kentucky, and Harvard. Yes, Harvard, the Michigan of the East, in the Ivy League, where they don’t give athletic scholarships. They’re not even the best team in the Ivy League, and at least Appalachian State won the AA championship (not that comforting, but whatever). So long as Michigan State is better than us in a sport I will continue to complain about it. The Cagers need to win a few.
