MySpace Is For Murderers, Too

MySpace Is For Murderers, Too
There's a deluge of articles related to Eve Carson's murder, but this one stood out:

Suspect In UNC Murder Logged Into MySpace Over Weekend

Isn't it interesting how the prevalence of MySpace has changed the way we view crimes like this one? We'd like to imagine the murderers are pure evil, but seeing the MySpace page of one of them forces us to face the idea that these are just really, really ****ed-up kids. It's creepy and rather unsettling.

Here's another unsettling thought: MySpace advances your displayed age automatically on your birthday. The article from March 12th quotes the kid's age as 17. Now, the page says he is 18, meaning that his birthday was yesterday or today.

Happy Birthday, ****
