Wasn't 27th Bad Enough?
It seems to be all the rage these days to call Tufts an up-and-comer, so you'd think we were, well, coming up. Right? Wrong.

U.S. News and World Report released its 2008 college rankings last Friday, much to the chagrin of Larry Bacow. Tufts actually moved down one spot from last year's meager 27th-place standing.

Yep. That's right. We tied UNC for the big 28. One below the University of Spoiled Children and a measly three spots above Brandeis and Lehigh, which tied for 31.

Damn you, "Alumni Giving Rank."
