According to ecogeek.com, Coke replaced over 6,000 of their soda machines with carbon dioxide-infused ones by 2006. Now, they're buying more than 100,000 more.

CO2 is supposed to limit greenhouse gas emissions from the machines (ha... did you know the soda machine down your hallway was hurting the environment so much?). Though they're still plugged into the wall, using energy regardless... huh.

Columbia's supposed to be the energy-saving, liberal mecca of Missouri. Why haven't we gotten these on campus yet? They look sweeter, too. Mizzou is all about looking sweeter.

Maybe a better question... why doesn't the Coke machine in A&S at least omit the correct soda selection? Huh. CO2 wouldn't help with that, but any new machine might.
