Pro-choice/Pro-fashion. Human Trafficking. Children's Miracle Network.. International cultures. Autism. Pick a cause — lately, it seems, they all host fashion shows.
The causes are admirable -- but why host a fashion show? Maybe Columbia residents are more design-savvy. Maybe Britches needs some publicity. Maybe it's just weird.
Like the Columbia Tribune's pulse section, this seems to be another example of Columbia trying to be something it's not. This is flyover country, friends. Fashion does not start here.
Perhaps we should all embrace the wear-what-you-want atmosphere of this Midwestern college town, and stop acting as if we know a thing about fashion.
