Watch for more cops at the scheduled sobriety checkpoints, especially south of town near Jeff City - they're upping vigilance as more and more Christmas (sweater) parties commence.
And because they must have been pretty successful the last couple of years, they're using the same name for increased checkpoints - Operation Safe Santa!
Um... pretty sure Santa drives a sleigh. Pretty sure he's had plenty of eggnog himself. Safe Santa? More like Operation-Our-Cops-Need-More-Hours-So-They-Can-Actually-Afford-Christmas.
