Hurray for summer! Here's an overview of the most important/interesting/controversial UNC OTR posts of the past year:

• Foremost was the tragic death of our student body president, Eve Carson. She will always be missed.

• There was also the closing of The Rat after a sixty year run. There goes a small piece of UNC history.

• After an unexpected loss to Maryland in basketball, a UNC fan is heard yelling "Go back to the ghetto!" and the video is uploaded to Youtube, sparking a debate about racism in UNC.

• A huge debate about sexual harassment erupts after Halloween when a girl complains of getting touched inappropriately while wearing a sexy Catholic school girl costume.

• Smoking is essentially banned on campus, leaving some to question how a school that limits personal freedom can be considered liberal.

• A UNC student voluntarily becomes homeless and finds that he rather enjoys it.

• John Edwards' campaign headquarters pressures UNC to censure one of its student journalist's video.The video linked to in the post is dead. Here is a current link to the Youtube video.
