An experimental cancer vaccine made from genetically altered tobacco plants has been proven to work as a helpful cure for a fatal form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Although the vaccine is not strong enough to work on its own, after further research it could become a life-saving supplement to chemotherapy.
Also in the works--cancer-removing tanning beds, cell phones that zap brain tumors, and an environment clean enough that it does not cause cancer (not available in Beijing...or L.A.).
Note: This does not mean that smoking cigarettes will help you fight cancer--and no, that cigarette has not yet managed to make you look cool.
