Brooklyn-based band the Creaky Boards have accused Coldplay--via YouTube--of stealing the melody for "Viva la Vida" from their song "The Songs I Didn't Write" (ironic much?). It's difficult to say whether the Boards' claim deserves any credit, but they definitely know how to get free publicity. Artists including Avril Lavigne, Jessica Simpson, and Miley Cyrus have all faced similar YouTube accusations in recent months.
