Color Test Predicts Perfect Job

Color Test Predicts Perfect Job

I was extremely skeptical when I heard about the The Color Career Counselor, powered by The Dewey Color System, an online test that predicts what careers are correct for people.

The way the test works is a website shows you swatches of colors and you pick your favorites and least favorites.  Each color matches up to certain characteristics (i.e. yellow means information driven, blue is creativity, and red is results driven).  Your favorite colors match up to the characteristics which you most posses, your least favorite colors the characteristics you least posses.

Right, like that sounds like a way to pick a career.

If you have absolutely no idea what you want to do, however--and many, many people you meet in college fall into that category--this color system might actually work.

I took the test and my results told me that I am a "creator" and possible career options for me include advertising, public relations, English teacher, author and editor.  Not such bad results when you consider that I'm in the J-School.

So for anyone who is afraid that their major will stay "undecided" for years to come, check out the Color Career Counselor.  Maybe the answer to "what should I do with my life?" has been lying at the back of the Crayola box all this time.
