Concert Review: Death Cab in Brooklyn

Last night Death Cab For Cutie stopped at McCarren Park Pool in Brooklyn, NY.  It was my first time at the venue, and it is already one of my favorites.  Despite the acoustics being slightly less than stellar, the atmosphere was so relaxed that it seemed more like a block party than a big-name show.

Of course, there was still the "artsy" crowd to deal with (if you take a party bus to get to the concert, you are not Bohemian) and that one guy who wanted Death Cab to play "Freebird" (why do I run into this guy at every concert I go to?).

The show itself was amazing--luckily the new album sounds much better live--until it had to end suddenly due to dangerous weather conditions.  At least there was some cool lightening to see while we were all running to beat the storm...?
