It’s been confirmed: Dan Mullen will be the new head football coach at Mississippi State University.
The current Florida offensive coordinator is becoming a Bulldog after eight years spent with the Gators. Mullen will officially be introduced as the new coach at a news conference tomorrow.
ESPN reports:
Mullen fits the profile Mississippi State was searching for: a high-energy personality, a strong recruiter and an offensive background. In addition, Mullen knows the SEC after four years of working with Urban Meyer in Gainesville -- something that gave him an advantage over Oklahoma's Kevin Wilson, another high-profile offensive coordinator interviewed for the job.
It seems like a good match. The only thing that could sweeten the deal would be a Layla-Kiffin-esque wife to accompany him on the move. Oh well, you can’t have it all.
