Easy Classes At UNC

Easy Classes At UNC

Registration is coming up for sophomores (this Saturday) and freshmen (Nov. 1...ouch).  Since lower classmen have little to no chance of taking classes that they are really interested in, here are a few easy courses that fulfill our ridiculous general college requirements:

ANTH 567: Urban Anthropology (with Nonini)--Professor Nonini does not believe in stressing out his students.  Therefore, he gives students a chance to rewrite their papers so that they can get a perfect score and he gives students the questions for the final ahead of time and allows them to bring notes to the test.  Warning: the lectures are boring.  (Fulfills a communication intensive requirement)

GEOG 120: World Regional Geography (with Birdsal)--Since the world is too big too really cover in one semester, this class involves only knowing the most general information about places.  Plus, Birdsal is an excellent professor. (Fulfills a social sciences/historical analysis requirement)

DRAM 115: Perspectives in Drama--Honestly, I have never taken this class.  But every time I ask my friends for an easy class to take, this is what they recommend.  Plus, there are always tons of athletes in DRAM 115 classes. (Fulfils a visual and performing arts requirement)

Any first-year seminar--If you are a freshman and you have not taken one of these, get on it.  They're designed to be easy and somewhat interesting.
