Tonight, No. 10 Clemson lost to No. 5 North Carolina 94-70. This was their 54th straight loss in the Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill. Ouch.
Not only have the Tigers lost 54 straight on the road against the Tar Heels, but they have never won in Chapel Hill.
The Tigers played well though, keeping good back court pressure on the Tar Heels. Clemson could not stop Carolina though. Wayne Ellington proved that he is officially out of his slump, scoring 25 points and Tyler Hansbrough finished with 20 points and a "loosened front tooth."
Meanwhile, in other great ACC basketball news: No. 1 Wake Forest's perfect record was taken away by Virginia Tech tonight. Bad news: this will probably put No. 2 dook at number one.
