Tacky Christmas sweater parties are a classic, but sometimes it's good to mix things up. Here are five alternative themes for this year's holiday party/parties:
- Hannukah party: Dreidel can definitely be turned into a drinking game
- Holiday movie party: Dress as your favorite character from a holiday movie (the thieves from Home Alone? Buddy the Elf?)
- Nativity Scene party: Themes are always fun when they are bound to end up being politically incorrect
- "I like to picture Jesus..." party: Stemming from the "saying grace" scene of Taledega Nights, dress up as your own Jesus--perhaps a baby Jesus, a bum as Jesus or Tuxedo T-shirt Jesus
- "Happy Holidays" party: Because it is no longer OK to just say "Merry Christmas"--this would probably entail dressing like a snowman or something else holiday-neutral
