Google is officially attempting a world-takeover--the social world, that is.
"On Thursday, an alliance of companies led by Google plans to begin introducing a common set of standards to allow software developers to write programs for Google’s social network, Orkut, as well as others, including LinkedIn, hi5, Friendster, Plaxo and Ning."
What the hell? Who's going to use a network called "hi5"? The current college generation is hooked on Facebook, of course, with a little bit of Myspace still lingering... Maybe this lame-named Google crap is for the upcoming kiddos.
